A domestic project to alleviate a perennial flooding problem on a lawned area next to a house in Bere Alston, Devon.

Garden having been dug out to reveal the extent of the problem...

A series of drainage trenches were then dug all over the area. A layer of goetextile membrane was then laid in the trench to separate soil from a back fill of perforated land drain and clean stone.

The new drains were then connected to the existing storm water drainage.

Another layer of membrane was then laid over the completed drains and covered by a layer of 20mm granite chippings.

The completed area now to be used as the customers private parking.
